About Me

Hi, My name is Courtne, and I am the creator of Paints and Polish, (No typo, my name is really spelled without the 'y').  I am a full time working mom with a passion for creativity.  I've been a student of interior design, a wedding florist, a writer, pianist (of sorts), clay artist and a jewelry designer.  But because of time constraints and other obstacles, I had to set aside my interests until now.  In my quest to give myself a personal makeover more than a year ago, I discovered that I love nail art and cosmetics.  And, that I  needed (yes, NEEDED) to share my enthusiasm and discoveries with other like-minded, nail polish and cosmetics fanatics.

In spite of all my artistic pursuits, however, I am the most creative person who has no talent or natural artistic abilities whatsoever.  I tell you, I can't draw a straight line, and I often find myself unable to read my own writing.  (My memory is vague, but I may have failed kindergarten because I couldn't color inside the lines).  Anyway, I've never let my lack of skill or talent stop me from expressing and exploring all things that require those talents and skills that I don't possess.  

So, with that said, I welcome you to my blog where I will share with you all that I know and have learned about nail art, polish and cosmetics.  I will also show you how I create nail art designs and pretend to have artistic talent.
