Hi friends,
I am so ready for this cold weather to go away. Far far away. I admit I'm just not into cold weather. Born in July, I love the heat, 80 to 95 degrees and I'm happy. With my love for hot weather, you would think I was born in the Caribbean or some other warm beachy place, but no, I'm a mid-westerner by birth and I should be ok with cold weather. But sadly, I am no fan of it.
In my desperation to remember that warm days are coming again, I created a beautiful Caribbean blue polish which I named Blue Pacific. I chose the name after a song written and performed by singer/song writer/musician Michael Franks, a jazz artist from way back when.
My youngest son has taken jazz music by storm and has me listening to all the old great jazz pieces. Most of them were written long before my time, and I'm familiar with them, and I enjoy his enthusiasm in his new passion. I just have one complaint. He wants to play every instrument known to man and I just can't keep up with him. Starting with the trombone in the 5th grade, he moved on to the saxophone and trumpet and now wants a bass trombone. What the heck? I never even heard of a base trombone before. I vetoed the trumpet when he asked for it, so he used his own money and bought it himself. He took it out the case and in a few minutes was working his way through the book. In a week he was ready for book two. Will I have to get a part time job to keep up with his books and lessons and instruments? Anybody hiring? I could use the cash.
Or, I can just stare at my Blue Pacific polish and think of warm weather and sandy beaches and let my concerns melt away.
Blue Pacific went on sale today in my online store. You can find it here.
Ciao for now!
